Tunggu Regulasi, Agya dan Ayla Belum Bisa Dijual

JAKARTA — PT Astra Internasional Tbk (Astra),  resmi memperkenalkna dua produk mobil murah hasil kolaborasi Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) dan Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM),  Rabu  (19/9) di Jakarta. Namun,  Toyota Agya dan Daihatsu Ayla belum bisa dijual karena menunggu regulasi dari pemerintah.

Agya dan Ayla dirancang mengikuti program pemerintah LCGC (Low Cost Green Car), meski hingga saat ini pemerintah belum juga mengeluarkan regulasi mengenai mobil murah namun ramah lingkungan itu.

“Regulasi LCGC sampai saat ini belum dikeluarkan secara resmi. Kami telah menggodok sejak dua tahun lalu. Dalam waktu dekat akan dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah. Dengan LCGC, Agya dan Ayla bisa dijual di bawah 90 ribu US Dollar,” tegas MS Hidayat, Menteri Perindustrian

Meski sudah dipertontonkan pada publik terbatas, keduanya belum memiliki harga. “Kami belum menetapkan harga karena masih menunggu regulasi pemerintah,” kata Johnny Darmawan Presiden Direktur PT Toyota Astra Motor saat konferensi pers.

Sedangkan Sudirman MR, Presiden Direktur PT Astra Daihatsu Motor mengatakan kedua mobil ini diproduksi di pabrik baru Daihatsu di kawasan industri Suryacipta, Karawang Timur. Pabrik baru ini rencananya akan selesai pembangunannya pada Oktober mendatang. “Nantinya pabrik ini akan memiliki kapasitas produksi 100.000 unit per tahun,” kata Sudirman.

Meski demikian, Toyota Agya dan Daihatsu Ayla ini tetap akan mejeng di ajang Indonesia Internasional Motor Show (IIMS) 2012, 20-30 September besok, di masing-masing booth. Bahkan Toyota Agya menjadi salah satu hadiah Grand Prize yang akan diberikan kepada pengunjung IIMS 2012.
